It all begins with faith and family
Those come first. I am also blessed to be a physician - specialized in Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics - seeing patients of all ages, from cradle to grave. I practice both outpatient and inpatient in Tampa, Florida. My hope is to serve those around me, through medicine.

What do I do?

I began in my clinical role at USF in 2017 enjoying the breadth and depth of practicing primary care both at USF and at Tampa General Hospital.

In my role as a physician-educator, I am working with medical students at all levels.
For more formal training, I completed the UNC Faculty Development Fellowship and then began work in course and curricular design, building our Family Medicine transition to residency course and others.
In 2022 I was given the role of Founding Program Director as we build a new Family Medicine Residency program at Tampa General Hospital.

From the backdrop of clinical informatics, and continuous quality improvement, my work has been expanding to advising/consulting roles.
I serve as a clinical advisor for Chronius Health. In this role, I build and implement systems for our patient-care model, focusing on experience and quality of care.I am open to discussing your project needs - just reach out!

Graduation…during a pandemic
In 2020, the graduating class selected me to give their commencement speech. It was a strange and awkward time, so we had to do an online graduation.

In 2021 - I was selected by the graduating class to give their commencement speech. I left them with these 7 pieces of advice for their futures as physicians. They serve as a constant reminder for me as well to stay patient-centered. Some of these may not make sense - so please reach out and ask!
-Don’t forget, you’re wearing a white coat.
-When shaken, Light up.
-Take more shoes off - off others’ feet.
-Go out to lunch & Be discipled.
-Visit the dying.
-Live a life where you’re not the point.
-Help your neighbor move their couch.
